Every two years, we must "organize" the party. That means we have elections for all officer positions and for delegates to the State Central Committee and Congressional District Committees. You might have heard about a "Re-org Meeting." This is it! Please join us at the Hollywood Senior Center, 1820 NE 40th Ave (just north of Sandy Blvd). The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Doors open for credentialing at 6:00 p.m.

2013 Re-organization Candidates
The officer positions are: Chair, First Vice-chair, Second Vice-chair, Communications Officer, Treasurer, Technology Officer and Recording Secretary. The term is two years, and according to our bylaws, "Any citizen of Multnomah County registered to vote as a Democrat for at least the preceding 180 days shall be eligible to hold any office of the Central Committee." The State Central Committee positions are open to any registered Democrat residing in Multnomah Country. The delegation is gender balanced. We send 17 delegates and 17 alternates. Note: The next SCC meeting is scheduled for March 10th, probably in Marion County. These meetings are quarterly, and may involve travel to other parts of the state. The Congressional District Committee positions are also open to any registered Democrat residing in the CD for which he or she wants to be a delegate. The delegations are gender balanced. According to State law, only ELECTED PCPs are eligible to vote for officer positions. ALL PCPs are eligible to vote for delegate positions.
In accordance with our bylaws, only nominations that were received by February 14th will appear on printed ballots at the meeting. Nominations may be made from the floor for write-in candidates.
