She was born and raised in NE Portland where she still resides and is actively involved with the community in a variety of ways: she serves on the Jefferson High School Site Council, on the PPS Superintendents High School Action Team, and as a recently appointed member of Commissioner Brad Avakian's Oregon Civil Rights Council. She is also a founding member of PFLAG's Portland Black Chapter. Ms Elliott makes her living as a Community Organizer, in a role dedicated to many of our goals as a Party: making people's lives better, working toward an effective government, protecting rights, and building the economy.
Her initial focus as Chair will be to develop a strong strategic plan that will increase participation, improve fundraising, and fill our empty District Leader positions. She can be reached via her new e-mail address: chair@multdems.org.
